Bazpackers Hostel

We aim to provide quality, budget Inverness accommodation for backpackers in Inverness.

The Scottish Tourist Board have given the hostel a 4 star rating, the only 4 star independent hostel in Inverness. Located in front of Inverness Castle, Bazpackers is an old Victorian town house built in 1826 and converted in 1996 to form a modern hostel. We are the smallest hostel in Inverness and just 5 minutes from the city centre, close to everything but out of the city centre noise.

We have 34 beds in a variety of rooms. All bedding is provided (sheets, duvets, pillow, and sleep sheet) and changed daily. All bunks come with individual reading/nightlights. We only use ‘proper’ sprung mattresses, to give a great night’s sleep and these are changed regularly.

Every one of our 10 rooms is slightly different, some with a river view, others overlooking the castle, but all have been sympathetically refurbished to provide modern, clean & comfortable accommodation. All rooms are carpeted and feature double glazing to cut out the noise and cold and every room is centrally heated with individual thermostats to control the heat in each room.

We have two mixed dorms (6 bedrooms), two female-only dorms (4-bed room).

Our private rooms consist of three doubles (double bed), two twins (2 single beds) and a self catering apartment (sleeps 4 with a double bed and 1 bunk bed).
