The Highlanders’ Museum

The Museum is FREE ADMISSION and tells the story of the Highland Regiments from just after the Battle of Culloden up to the present day. Vistors will discover the epic story of how Bonnie Prince Charlie's great Jacobite rebels become some of Britian's greatest heroes.

The Museum also offer "The Highlanders and Jacobite Tours". You can book on a minibus 1 day bespoke tour experince in which you discover the great city of Inverness, sail the water of Loch Ness with Jacobite Cruises and visit locations such as the mysterious Clava Carins and the sombering Culloden Battlefield. 

The musuem is based within Fort George which is still a working military barracks and currently home to 3 SCOTS (The Black Watch). The museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts including 22 Victoria Crosses, 16 of which are currently on display. There are also two interactive Medal Finders and a Medal Carousel within the Museum, allowing visitors to discover the different medals awarded to members of the Regiments throughout the years.

In addition the Museum has an interactive shooting gallery where visitors can test their shooting accuracy and a well-stocked shop of Regimental commemorative gifts and Highland souvenirs.
