Familiarisation Trip March 2025
UKInbound Discover Programme
This is an example of a FAM trip that took place in March 2025, in partnership with UKInbound. The trip brought 30 buyers and 3 representatives from UKInbound to Inverness to experience everything our destination has to offer.
In addition, we hosted a B2B event where 29 of our members engaged in 9-minute sessions with each buyer. This provided a valuable opportunity for local businesses to connect directly with potential buyers and promote their products.
On arrival in Inverness, local transfers were arranged by Rabbies Tours, Grant Driving Tours, and Inverness Custom Tours to ensure smooth transportation throughout the trip.
Day 1
Arrival and check-in at Kingsmills Hotel
Welcome tea and coffee session hosted by Visit Inverness Loch Ness, followed by a show-around at Kingsmills Hotel
Evening drinks reception at Kingsmills Hotel
Transfer to Glen Mhor Hotel
Hotel and Distillery Tour, and tasting followed by buffet dinner at Glen Mhor
Return to Kingsmills Hotel
Day 2
Breakfast at Kingsmills Hotel
Sail on a Jacobite Cruises from Dochgarroch, drop off at Urquhart Castle
Visit to the Old Manse for an open house and refreshments
Travel to Loch Ness Country House Hotel for a 2-course lunch and presentation from Loch Ness Centre)
Tour of Inverness Castle with a hard hat tour (PPE provided)
Travel to Achnagairn Castle for check-in, welcome drinks, and highland activities including axe throwing ran by ran by In Your Element, Castle and Mini Manors tours
Pre-dinner cocktails by Tomatin and a fashion show ran by Prickly Thistle in the Drawing Room at Achnagairn Castle
Entertainment by Downright Gabbler and Highland Dancing from Highland Dance Inverness
Nightcap with Tomatin Whisky
Day 3
Breakfast at Achnagairn Castle
Travel to Drumossie Hotel for presentations from UKInbound team, Visit Inverness Loch Ness, and Visit Scotland
B2B Event
Travel to Cawdor Castle for a tour followed by a buffet lunch
Transfer to train station or airport for departure
